The Accelerator Fellowship Programme and the Center for Transnational Legal Studies is delighted to present a discussion led by our fellow, Professor Yuval Shany. It brings together leading experts to explore the need for an international AI Bill of Human Rights, including Professor Alondra Nelson, fellow of the Accelerator Fellowship Programme and architect of the Blueprint for AI Bill of Rightsreleased in October 2022, which formed the rights framework embedded in USA President Joe Biden's executive order on artificial intelligence released in October 2023.

A key theme of this discussion will be evaluating the suitability of existing UN human rights accountability mechanisms in addressing AI-related human rights violations. Experts will also discuss whether AI tools can enhance the effectiveness of UN human rights monitoring and enforcement.
